Gandhari

At first when I saw Gandhari blindfolding herself for a man she has never even met before in her life, i thought it was pretty weird. I was thinking why does she have to stop seeing just because her husband can't see anything. Later on I came to realize that she blindfolded herself out of love for him. She did not want to enjoy anything that her husband couldn't. That is a very big sacrifice to make for someone. Do you think she made the right choice by blinding herself or should she have not done that and become his eyes instead and guide him?

Draupadi

Without any doubt, Draupadi is my favorite character from Mahabharata. She is very strong but also caring when she needs to be. I love the fact that she can stand up for herself when she needs to. We all definitely have heard men having more than one wife. Draupadi is a woman with 5 husbands. And that is definitely a controversial issue. Some people are completely against it. But I have to admit I do love seeing a woman with so much in her that she needs 5 men to measure up to her and to satisfy all her needs. What do you feel about Draupadi and her having 5 husbands? Do you really think she is that good that she needs 5 men? What about women in general having more than one husband?
